A voluminous butterhead with an appealing mid green color. Slow to bolt, standing longer than most varieties, makes it ideal for successional sowing, March- August. A good resistance to tipburn, Bremia NL1-16, and Lettuce Mosaic virus tolerant, all help to give a clean dense head. T&M are pleased to offer a range of seed varieties, all totally organic with the Soil Association accreditation. T&M have specially selected F1 hybrids or varieties bred to give increased hybrid vigour, garden performance and flavour, thus increasing your harvest. Because of their wide ranging pest and disease resistance, there will be no need for use of chemicals.

CROPPING: 72 Days (Summer-Autumn & Spring)

IDEAL FOR: children

SOWING TIME: spring to mid summer.

SOWING DEPTH: 6mm (¼in) deep in drills 38cm (15in) apart.

SOWING: Sow thinly. A moist well drained soil which has had plenty of compost during the previous autumn is best. In very hot weather it is best to water the soil before sowing and to make sowings during the early afternoon.

AFTERCARE: Harvest when the head feels firm when gently pressed.Sow in early autumn for overwintering.
