Sprouting Seeds : Wheat (Wheatgrass)

Has been widely used for juicing as a nutritional drink. We use a red winter wheat for this purpose as it resists mold, has more reliable germination and a nice leaf blade. Quick and easy to grow, ready to harvest from 5-15 days.

Important Note: All of our sprouting seeds have been rigorously tested for salmonella, E. coli & Listeria. Growing your own gives you the added benefit of knowing where your food is coming from & how it is being handled.

SOWING TIME: Any time of year.

SOWING: Growing Indoors in a seed tray:

Sow either in seed trays on the surface of compost, or on the surface of pads of cotton wool, or kitchen towel.
Place the growing medium in a small container or saucer and moisten well before sowing the seed thickly over the surface.
Place container in a warm/ well-lit place - a kitchen windowsill is ideal. Ensure the growing medium is kept moist at all times and seeds will germinate very quickly.
